Great guest man. As someone who does not hunt animals but does train constantly to defend myself against other humans with firearms. I whole heartedly disagree with your guest on his opinion about firearms NOT playing much of a role.

Australia and Europe are prime examples of this. I’ve looked over thousands of hours of security and badge cam footage and I can tell you right now, that most police have little to zero hand to hand training and in near a third to a half of firearm footage the police get injured or death occurs when the assailant uses a firearm competently.

Now trained assailants have been known to do more devastation. It’s a numbers game and I would venture that most police and most military do not and will not fight against the largest insurgency the humanity will offer, which is the US population
