I was living on a hippie farm with masons and had an experience of all this. They use turpintine. I was hallucinating for almost two weeks. The most insane hallucinations you can imagine, time traveling, interdimensional stuff, angels, demons, souls transferring into other bodies, dragons having anal sex with people to milk the life fluid, telepathy, people being replaced in front of my eyes, talking animals, I was absolutely sure I was dead and moving through the spirit world. I could go on. I found out they were running death ceremonies there. It’s taken a long time to pull reality back together and my life has been more or less destroyed.
